How to brew Bai Hao Yin Zhen white tea
European method (teapot or cup):
- Use 3–4 g of tea per 250 ml of water.
- Water temperature is 80–82°C.
- Insist for 3–4 minutes.
- You can brew it 2–3 times - the taste remains mild and clean.
Chinese method (gongfu cha):
- Take 4–5 g of tea per 100–120 ml of gaiwan or small teapot.
- Water temperature is 80°C.
- First pour — 5 seconds (to awaken the buds), drain.
- Then pour for 10–20 seconds. Lasts up to 6–8 brews.
Tip: Do not use boiling water - too high a temperature will "burn" the delicate buds and deprive the tea of its aroma.
